Marketing Assistant
Job Brief

Summary

It’s time to grow!! We’re psyched to announce we’ll be onboarding a Marketing Assistant to join our small but mighty team on a full-time 12-month freelance contract.  Have you ever wanted to work with a TV and media personality and see behind the scenes of how it all works?  Well, now’s your chance to do just that with Aidy Smith! Over the last year we’ve grown from strength to strength and we’re keen to get more press opportunities, expand our social media community and seek out key events Aidy should be hosting, speaking at or attending.

This isn’t a ‘please get the coffee’ kind of role. While it is predominantly virtual, you’ll be thinking on your feet and becoming an integral part of our family. Working directly with Aidy and Sophie (our Head of Marketing & Comms), you’ll be delving into a whole host of projects across marketing, research, social media, press strategy and crucial planning to help guide the company’s growth.

This isn’t a role for the faint hearted. As a small team you’ll quickly be taking on key responsibilities, making this position ideal for those who are quick thinkers, not afraid to voice their own opinion or think outside of the box, and not adverse to taking risks.

If you’ve ever thought about starting your own company one day, this is an excellent opportunity to rapidly learn all the things that are vital to growth. If you’ve ever wanted to be a TV personality or get in the media spotlight, this is an ideal opportunity to learn from those who have done exactly that.

What does our company do?

Usually a company sells a product, but in this case, the product is Aidy Smith! Aidy is a TV presenter, broadcaster and journalist who specialises in all things food, drink and travel alongside neurodivergence, LGBT+ and disability advocation. To date he’s created, produced and presented 3 seasons of an award-winning travel series on Amazon Prime, presented a multitude of radio documentaries for Virgin Radio and the BBC surrounding ADHD and Tourette’s and works closely with a number of neurodivergent charities to raise awareness around ND as a patron and Global Ambassador. He is the only global TV presenter in the world with Tourette Syndrome and does a lot of work to debunk the stigmas around this and other conditions.

Aidy has grown over the years and is now at a point in his career where he wants to extend his social media footprint, awareness in the press, and public profile at key speaking events and conferences. This is where you come in.

We recommend all applicants read this biography (click here) before submitting their applications to get a better understanding of who Aidy is alongside the various companies and initiatives he’s involved in.
